Garth Tander Wins Two Of Three At 2010 Australian GP

This weekend Melbourne saw some fantastic motor races as Albert Park hosted the 2010 Australian Grand Prix, and while the F1 cars dominated the circuit, the V8s roared to life and provided a fantastic battle once more between Ford and Holden.

Ford recorded its first triumph of the Season, as it saw James Courtney win the first of three races over the weekend. Courtney went on to finish third in the second race however due to technical difficulties got black-flagged in the third and final event.

Commodore’s top driver for the weekend was Garth Tander, who carried on his top form from the 2010 Clipsal 500, and won the second and third race over the weekend.

Jamie Whincup went into the race as favourite, and finished fifth and second in the opening two races respectively, with the second spot finish his best at the event to date. In the third he did not finish the race due to malfunction.
